Italcementi's innovative products on show at the Expo 2010

Milan, 22 March 2010

The new i.light® "transparent cement", used to build the Italian Pavilion for the World Expo 2010 opening in Shanghai on May 1, was presented at the Triennale Museum in Milan. A new type of cement has been set up which, by bonding special resins into a newly conceived mix, allows manufacturing solid insulated yet light-transmitting construction panels.

Using Waste Marble

There are approximately 500 marble quarries in City of Afyonkarahisar. These enterprises cause serious environmental problems by producing large quantities of marble waste. Since 2001, waste marble has been used as alternative raw material on cement industry for the purpose of reducing production costs and it also participates to solving environmental problems.
